Like so many others across the region Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club was in the grips of Storm Darragh last weekend which prevented any golf being played.

One competition that was played just before the storm was the Stableford that was won by George Armstrong with an impressive 43 points, seven clear of two players who both returned with 36.

Following count back however it was Steve Coomber who was second and Marc Jones was third.

Two players also came back in with 34 points so once again count back came into play after which it was John Snell who was fourth just ahead of Michael Steer.
