Striker spotted at stadium as Aston Villa give green light for deadline day transfer
Aston Villa striker Kadan Young has been spotted attending Royal Antwerp's game with Club Brugge on Sunday, as the young forward prepares to join the Belgian outfit on a loan basis until the end of the season.
Erdington-born Young has been with Villa since he was a boy and has represented England in various age groups up to the under 19s.The teenager, who signed a scholarship with Villa in 2022, travelled with the first-team to Dubai during the World Cup break in the winter of the same year and featured in friendlies against Cardiff City, Brighton and Chelsea.
Young as a result signed a senior contract with Villa and then agreed an extension last September, days before he made his senior debut when playing the whole match in the EFL Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers, where he partnered Jhon Duran up front. Young also featured in the defeat to the Crystal Palace in the following round.

The striker has now been allowed to leave on loan, but while the likes of Louie Barry, Kobei Moore and Tommi O'Reilly, among others - while Sil Swinkels could leave on deadline day, too - have agreed domestic loan moves, Young is set to test himself abroad. He was pictured at the Bosuilstadion on Sunday as Antwerp entertained Club Brugge.
Antwerp won in dramatic fashion, too; trailing to Brugge, who beat Villa in the Champions League earlier this season, until the final five minutes, they struck twice late on to steal all of the points. Tjaronn Chery, the former QPR playmaker, netted a stoppage time winner. Young will also play alongside former Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld and ex Fulham man Dennis Odoi.
