Sunderland loan star's future up in the air amid Australian star transfer update
Sunderland’s loanees were out in force last weekend as they continued to make an impact with their respective clubs. The future of the players out remain under consideration, with Nectarios Triantis a wanted man.
Triantis played for Hibernian in the 1-1 draw at Ross County in the Scottish Premiership. The Australian continued to impress in Edinburgh as the Hibees extended their unbeaten run in the division to eight games.
Dylan Levitt gave the visitors the lead with Triantis providing the assist with a smart backheel. They were denied the win in the latter stages through Ronan Hale’s penalty.

The 21-year-old featured for the 20th time this season adding to a total of 37 appearances for Hibs. Hibs host Aberdeen on Saturday and their manager David Gray admits he would love to keep the player - but that it could depend on Sunderland's potential promotion to the Premier League.
"Obviously he’s doing really well at the moment”, Gray told the Edinburgh News. "With Nectar, he’s obviously contracted to a Championship club.
“They’re doing really well as well, Sunderland, so a lot will probably depend on what happens with them. They have aspirations to try and get promoted to the Premier League.
“He’s still there next season, so what does that look like for Nectar? There are loads of ifs and buts on how that can change moving forward.”
Pierre Ekwah was also involved in a 1-1 draw, this time for St Etienne in France away at Auxerre. His side came from behind to earn a point at the Stade de l’Abbe Deschamps with Ekwah featuring for 85 minutes in the game.
The home side went in front through Hamed Traore’s strike before Lucas Stassin stabbed home on the stroke of half-time. The midfielder made his 16th appearance of the season for the French top-flight outfit. They now sit 15th in Ligue 1 and travel to Lille this weekend.
Defender Ben Crompton was in Tamworth’s back line for the 2-2 National League draw at Aldershot Town. He continues to be a mainstay at the back and made his 10th appearance of the season in a frantic game in Hampshire.
Luis Hemir helped Juventus Next Gen to a 2-0 victory against Trapani 1905 on Sunday. The Portuguese frontman once again played his part in another victory in Serie C, their seventh out of the last eight in the league. Hemir came on as a substitute in the game with Simone Guerra’s double completing the victory over the ten men of Trapani. It was the 21-year-old’s 20th appearance of the season, and he also scored three times during his loan spell.
Zak Johnson made his debut for Notts County in the 1-0 win against Carlisle United on Tuesday. The defender emerged as a second half substitute. Alassna Jatta’s goal was the difference between the two sides with Johnson introduced to the team in the 72nd minute for his debut. County face a trip to Gillingham on Saturday.
Finally, Caden Kelly made his 15th appearance for Darlington in their 1-0 home defeat to Buxton in National League North. Darlington’s push for the play-offs was dented through Luke Brennan’s penalty. They host Marine on Saturday.
