Sunderland transfer agreed as "right opportunity" presents itself for club
NAZARIY RUSYN has completed a season-long loan move from Sunderland to Croatian side Hajduk Split.
The Ukrainian forward will spent the rest of the season away from Wearside, with Hajduk Split also having agreed a clause that enables them to make the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign.
Rusyn joined Sunderland in September 2023, but has been unable to establish himself as a regular first-team player with the Black Cats.
He has made 32 senior appearances for the club, but found himself on the periphery of things under Regis Le Bris this season.

Sunderland sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said: “We wanted to find the right opening in this window for Nazariy to play more minutes and Hajduk represents a great opportunity for him.
"The combination of playing style and a club competing for a league title provides the perfect foundation for him at this moment in time and we wish him well for the remainder of the season.”
