Danny Ward 7

Probably should have done better with the goal, but made some really important stops throughout the night.

Typically assured defensively and contributed to the transitions too. Cleared an effort off the line at a decisive time.

Ben Cabango 7

Slotted into the back line really well. Good on the ball and a real presence in the air too.

Joe Rodon 7

A solid outing on his 50th appearance for Wales. Made a couple of really important tackles.

Ben Davies (c) 7

Similarly solid. Another good outing for the skipper.

Daniel James 7

Didn't always have the end product, but his pace really stretched Iceland. At the heart of the second goal. Subbed.

Liam Cullen 9 - STAR MAN

Scored twice. Bagged two assists. Might well be the best game he's had for club or country. Simply sensational.

Josh Sheehan 7

Once again did the ugly stuff with little fuss in the middle. Subbed.

Harry Wilson 8

Took his goal brilliantly. Not always tidy in possession, but constantly wanted the ball and worked his socks off all night.

Brennan Johnson 9

As above in many ways. Was also impressive out of possession too. No Wales played made more tackles. One of his best Wales performances. Subbed.

Mark Harris 7

Played his part in the second goal, and executed the press really well. A useful contribution. Subbed.

Joe Allen (on for Harris 65) - Added steel to the midfield as the second half wore on - 7
