Supercomputer calculates Liverpool chances in Premier League title race with huge prediction
Liverpool has been given an 86 per cent chance of winning the Premier League title this season with Arne Slot's men now four points clear at the top of the standings with a game in hand over their rivals.
Chelsea, after drawing with Everton last weekend, is sitting second as things stand. But Enzo Maresca has been keen to play down his team's chances because of their inexperience.
The Opta stats boffins would appear to agree with his verdict with Chelsea now given just a 3.1 per cent of finishing the season in first place. Arsenal, two points behind Chelsea at the moment, has now got a 10.3 per cent chance, the data suggests.

Nottingham Forest is fourth at the moment with struggling Manchester City facing a battle to get into the Champions League spots. Pep Guardiola's side is now surely out of contention for the title, being 12 points behind Liverpool having played a game more.
"Of course it means something," Slot said after his team beat Tottenham 6-3 at the weekend to confirm it would have a four-point lead at the top on Christmas Day. "But you know as well as I know — because I have won the league once — how hard it is to win it.
"You have to keep on going, every three days be on top of your game for every minute of every game. That's why it is so hard to win it. It is not always easy to show up every three or four days. Last week you saw it is easy to get a red card in one moment, it was quite a debate afterward, not by me but by other people.
"These things can happen in a season. At Newcastle, we were 3-2 up, you expect to win it and we dropped two points but that's the Premier League. I didn't expect Chelsea to drop points today as well, it can happen in any game and that's what makes the league so special. That's why so many people want to watch it and that's why we play at Christmas time."
Liverpool.com says: From this position, the Reds should be able to get across the line. However, there are things that can get in the way, like injuries or a loss of form. Slot is right to take each game as it comes, but Liverpool will know the huge opportunity on its hands this season with Manchester City having dropped off a cliff.
