SUPPORTERS are calling for Saints to sign Brazilian forward Rômulo Cruz following his scintillating form at sister club Goztepe.

The 22 year old, who is currently on loan at Goztepe, has scored nine goals in 16 Super Lig games this season.

Goztepe, owned by Sport Republic, agreed upon an option-to-buy clause when they signed the Brazilian from Athletico Paranaense last February.

Rômulo has only scored one goal fewer than Galatasaray's superstar forward Victor Osimhen in the Super Lig, and has 15 goals and nine assists in 31 games since arriving in Europe.

Sport Republic are keen to develop players within their multi-club structure and most recently moved France youth captain Joachim Kayi Sanda from Valenciennes to Saints.

Goztepe presently have two players on loan from Saints - Kuryu Matsuki and Juan - while former goalkeeper Mat Liz joined them permanently in the summer.

Saints are in need of a regular scorer having scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season.
