Swansea City are hoping to complete several deals on deadline day, with three players currently on the club's agenda.

The club are weighing up a possible loan move for former Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark, but could potentially face competition given they are by no means alone in the chase for his signature.

An attacking midfielder was one of the key areas identified for strengthening in this window, and 19-year-old Clark, who's the son of Newcastle United legend Lee, is an option the club appear to be exploring ahead of tonight's deadline.

A winger is also high on the wishlist, with the club already missing out on Southampton's Sam Amo-Ameyaw, who instead looks to be set for a move to French side Strasbourg. Sign up to our Swansea City newsletter here.

Replacing the hole left by captain Matt Grimes, who left for Coventry City toward the end of last week, is also a pressing matter.

Despite reports pointing to a possible snag in the deal, Swansea remain confident of landing Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien on loan.

It's understood terms have been agreed and the 26-year-old has already verbally agreed to join Swansea. But reports this morning suggested he might have had cold feet over the move due to personal reasons.

The suggestion was that O'Brien had reservations about moving so far away from home, with his partner due to give birth before the end of the season.

However, sources at Swansea have indicated the move is still on, with the player still due for a medical later this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the club are hopeful of completing a loan deal for Manchester City youngster Jacob Wright.

The 19-year-old, a defensively-minded midfielder, was at Fairwood on Sunday to discuss a move, and it's hoped that a deal to bring him on board can be struck before tonight's deadline.

Should it go through, it will likely contain an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Where this all leaves a move for Peterborough United's Hector Kyprianou remains to be seen. Swansea launched a bid for the versatile midfield towards the of last week. However, at the time of writing, there doesn't appear to be any agreement between the two parties yet.

As things stand, the club are not currently expecting any outgoings, but there's still speculation around a couple of players, with Jay Fulton reportedly attracting interest from Plymouth Argyle, while Harry Darling has been tipped as a possible target for Sheffield United.
