Swimmers set sights on Stockholm after Swedish Grand Prix selection

Two members of Skipton Swimming Club have been selected to represent England at a competition in Stockholm.

Sam Smith and Jack Jenkinson will compete at the Swedish Grand Prix 2025, to be held in March.

The opportunity has been provided for the swimmers as part of the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE), a programme delivered by Swim England in conjunction with Loughborough College.

It marks the fifth stage in the Swim England Talent Programme.

Both Sam and Jack were selected for the programme, and are currently in the second year of the course, balancing it alongside A Levels.

Their selection for the Swedish Grand Prix was based on criteria including an upward performance trajectory in the pool, and a minimum Male 650+ WAP.
