Swindon sports club makes it mark with 11 medal haul

Swindon Pickleball Club clinched 11 medals at Pickleball England's penultimate tournament.

The competition, held in Swindon in December saw players take part from across the country.

SPC's impressive haul included four gold medals, placing Swindon firmly on the national pickleball map.

Club member Jo Moore said: "This win is a testament to the dedication and camaraderie of our members.

"Pickleball is such an accessible and fun sport, and we’re thrilled to bring attention to it through our success."

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis.

Swindon Pickleball Club is inviting locals to try the sport.

The club welcomes players of all abilities to its weekly sessions.

Club member Steve Reynolds said: "Pickleball has something for everyone.

"It’s a great way to stay active, meet new people, and have fun.

"Plus, the atmosphere at our club is so welcoming—you’ll feel like part of the family from day one."

The first session is free, with equipment provided.
