Swindon Town Under-18s' second game of 2025 ended in defeat as they suffered a 3-2 loss against Forest Green Rovers Under-18s at the Royal Agricultural University.

George Alston and Abu Kanu scored for Swindon, but it was Forest Green who secured all three points.

Swindon had the first real chance of the game after a slow start from both sides, but Kanu couldn't find the target after being played through on goal.

The hosts responded with a chance of their own, but Swindon's goalkeeper managed to deal with the danger.

Dani Gonzalez came close for Swindon with a shot from the edge of the box, narrowly missing the target.

Forest Green took the lead just before half-time with a well-placed finish.

They continued their momentum in the second half, scoring quickly after the restart to double their advantage.

Swindon clawed their way back into the game as Alston continued his impressive goal-scoring form.

Hopes of a comeback were soon extinguished however, as Forest Green extended their lead with another well-worked goal.

A late strike from Kanu gave Swindon belief late on, but Forest Green held on to secure all three points.

Swindon will be looking for an improved result against Exeter City-U18s.
