Swindon Town Women produced an impressive display to thrash Bemerton Heath Harlequins 4-0 in the Wiltshire County Cup.

Goals from Tori St Clair, Steph Bent, and Mia Mugford added to a Bemerton Heath own goal as Town claimed a comprehensive victory at A-Class Arena on Sunday, January 19.

The match began with an early change for Swindon due to a head injury to Grace Purnell, with Tia Rees being introduced in her place.

Swindon quickly found their rhythm, breaking the deadlock midway through the first-half as St Clair combined with Mugford to slot home past the Bemerton keeper.

Isi Meade helped the visitors into a two goal lead when she pressed a Bemerton defender, forcing a mistake which resulted in an own goal.

With minutes to go until half-time, captain Elise Haines created a chance for Bent, who smashed the ball into the net to add a third.

Swindon made two substitutions just shy of the hour mark, introducing Alice Seddon and Izzy Reeves in place of Libby Waylen and Haines.

The chances continued to come for Rich Wood's side, and it was Mugford who rounded off the scoring as she lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box.
