Tamworth vs Tottenham weather latest as FA Cup fixtures postponed
National League Tamworth will be looking to pull off one of the biggest shocks in FA Cup history when they host Premier League Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The glamour tie between the non-league outfit and Ange Postecoglou's millionaire-filled side is exactly what makes the FA Cup one of the best competitions in the world. However, the fixture finds itself potentially being under threat after a widespread cold snap continues to hit the UK.
Snow, followed by freezing temperatures for much of this week, have caused havoc with the fixture list in the third round of the FA Cup this weekend. Three matches due to be played this weekend in the competition have been moved at short notice to Tuesday, January 14 to avoid causing chaos with the tournament.

As things stand, Tamworth's clash with Spurs is not set to be a casualty of the weather. Temperatures tonight will drop to 0C but the hope is that the pitch shall survive considering Tamworth play on a 3G surface. This means that not only will it be a great leveller on the day, it also has a better chance of avoiding a wintery weather nightmare.
By kick-off, the temperature should rise to the barmy heights of 5C which should alleviate any fears that the roads and pavements surrounding The Lamb Ground will be too dangerous to travel on. The winner of tomorrow's tie will discover their fourth round opponents at the conclusion of Arsenal's clash with Manchester United which kicks off at 3pm on Sunday.
According to BBC Weather, temperatures dropped to as low as minus five degrees Celsius on Saturday morning. The weather report states that there will be highs of 3°C with some sunshine and lows of zero on Sunday, when Tottenham lock horns with Tamworth. BBC Weather also claims matchday to be 'slightly milder'.
It reads: "A settled and slightly milder day tomorrow with fog slow to clear in places. Otherwise, a continued mix of bright spells and variable amounts of cloud under a gentle southerly breeze for most."
Football League matches including Carlisle United vs MK Dons, Shrewsbury vs Huddersfield Town, Port Vale vs Barrow, Northampton Town vs Barnsley and Blackpool vs Cambridge United have already been called off.
Oldham Athletic vs Eastleigh, Hartlepool United vs Barnet, Altrincham vs Wealdstone, Maidenhead United vs York City, Southend United vs Halifax Town, Hungerford Town vs Poole Town, Hornchurch vs Worthing have been called off in the National League, while Mansfield Town vs Wigan, Preston vs Charlton and Leyton Orient vs Derby County have been postponed in the FA Cup with the ties now set to take place on Tuesday, January 14.
