Taunton St Andrews Cricket Club looking to recruit new players before new season
Taunton St Andrews senior players turned out in force when they held their first indoor net session at the King’s College Cricket Hub on Sunday morning, writes Richard Walsh.
The Saints First XI start their 2025 season in West of England Premier One on Saturday, May 3 with an away trip to Potterne before returning home to host Burbage and Easton Royal a week later.
With the Saints running four senior men's sides on a Saturday, they are always looking to recruit new players at all levels, so anybody interested is welcome to go along on Sunday mornings at King’s between 10 and 12.
The Saints junior teams are also preparing for the upcoming season.
For softballers aged between six and 12 years old, Thursday evening training starts at King’s College Sports Hall on February 27 between 6 and 7.15pm.
Winter hardball nets started for the under-13 and under-15s at the King’s College Cricket Hub on Sundays, starting at 4.30pm.
Under-13s and under-15s who play men’s cricket are welcome to join the men’s Sunday sessions at 10am to 12pm.
From Tuesday, April 1, TSA juniors move outside to the Wyvern Club on Tuesday evenings at 6pm, for summer training sessions for all age groups.
