EDDIE HOWE has named an unchanged starting line-up for Newcastle United's final game of 2024 at Manchester United.

Tino Livramento returns to the squad after recovering from the illness that kept him out of the Boxing Day win over Aston Villa.

However, the right-back is only on the bench, with former England international Kieran Trippier retaining his place in the starting side.

Howe has opted against making any changes in midfield or attack, with Joelinton once again getting the nod ahead of Joe Willock on the left-hand side.

The in-form Jacob Murphy continues in Newcastle's wide-attacking role on the right, with Anthony Gordon also flanking central striker Alexander Isak.

Howe has once again opted against restoring Sven Botman to the matchday squad despite the defender having come through a 45-minute run-out for the Under-21s earlier this month.

Marcus Rashford is back in the Manchester United squad, but the England international is only on the substitutes' bench.

MAN UTD (3-4-3): Onana; de Ligt, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Casemiro, Eriksen, Dalot; Amad, Hojlund, Zirkzee.

Subs: Bayindir, Kukonki, Malacia, Yoro, Collyer, Mainoo, Antony, Garnacho, Rashford.

NEWCASTLE (4-3-3): Dubravka; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon.

Subs: Vlachodimos, Barnes, Osula, Livramento, Almiron, Kelly, Willock, Longstaff, Miley.
