'Thank you Jeff' - Chris Kamara's first words on Premier League Boxing Day return
Chris Kamara returned to screens on Boxing Day as he featured during Amazon Prime Sport's Premier League coverage. The Sky Sports hero was forced to take a step away in 2022 after he was diagnosed with the speech condition, apraxia.
The condition is a motor disorder caused by damage to the brain, which causes difficulty with motor planning to perform tasks or movements. After 24 years with the broadcaster, Kamara stepped aside from his duties, but after decades of service together, the 66-year-old and Jeff Stelling are part of Prime's Every Game, Every Goal feature.
Kamara was in position to provide key updates from the City Ground with Tottenham Hotspur looking to bounce back from their sobering 6-3 defeat to Liverpool. Ange Postecoglou continues to field uncomfortable questions over his philosophy and he faced another great test in Nottingham Forest, who could rise to third in the Premier League with a win.

The former football sent a message ahead of his return to commentary and prior to the action on Thursday, he enjoyed a heartwarming exchange with Stelling, the iconic Soccer Saturday presenter.
"At this time of the year, it can be quite hard to find reporters for these matches so today at the City Ground, we have recruited an inexperienced man who I think has a great future ahead of him," Stelling said. "But do forgive him if he's a little bit nervous over the course of the 90 minutes."
Kamara replied: "Thank you Jeff, I have got the best game of the day. When Amazon rang me up, I thought they wanted me to deliver parcels but they said the game - yes!
"I'm great. To get that call to say I was doing this game was the biggest fill-up," he added after being asked about his health.
