'That's why I came back' - Matt Crooks delivers great response after epic Hull City win
Hull City goal hero Matt Crooks says night's like the Tigers' emphatic 3-0 win at Sheffield United is why he wanted to come back from the USA.
Crooks started for the first time since joining City earlier this month at Bramall Lane and scored the crucial opening goal after just six minutes, as Ruben Selles' men recorded their most impressive win of the season.
The former Middlesbrough midfielder made his mark before leaving the pitch in the second period, when he was replaced by another debutant, Eliot Matazo and defender Matty Jacob.

Jacob went on to turn home the second City goal in front of a jubilant away following in the Steel City before Joao Pedro's determination forced Harrison Burrows to fumble in an own goal two minutes from time to cap a sensational away performance and one which left Crooks understandably delighted.
"I feel I knew pretty much straight away it was going somewhere close to the top corner, wasn't it? It was a great performance from the lads, the defensive effort was unreal as well, it was good to get the three points and it's something to kick on from now," he said on Sky Sports.
"It's nights like this that I came back for really. I had a great time over there in the MLS, it was a proper different experience for me, but you don't get nights like this over there. This is what I came back for, the emotion and the passion of the game."
City now have a clear week before they host Stoke City at the MKM Stadium next Saturday, a side they leapfrogged with the Bramall Lane victory, and Crooks says the Tigers must use it as a springboard to put some form together.
"We picked up a good result at Millwall away and then we lost at home, so we know this is a tough league and every game is going to be different," he continued. "We'll take great belief from this, but we can't rest on our laurels; we've got to use this as a springboard and kick on and climb the table."
