How do you get tickets for the Super Bowl and how much do they cost? Everything you need to know for a bucket list trip
With more than 140 million Americans alone tuning in, you aren't alone if watching the biggest event in NFL is on your bucket list.
As with any major sporting final these days, it's not as simple as allocating a 50/50 split of the stadium to the two sides competing for the Super Bowl and allowing them to be sold to fans. In fact the number of diehard supporters from each side in the final will actually be far lower than you might think - with thousands of briefs set aside for VIPs, tourists and football fans just wanting to experience the greatest show on turf live.
This year just over 70,000 fans will be inside the Caesars Superdome to see the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles battle it out for the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy, and that makes tickets for the match very hot property indeed. Those with season tickets are then entered into a lottery for tickets and, if they are one of the lucky ones, have the chance to buy one at face value - with prices this year starting at an eyewatering $950.

Can I purchase Super Bowl tickets directly from the NFL?
Yes. Technically, you could just log onto the NFL website and buy your ticket. But you'll have to buy well in advance, before you even have an idea of who could be playing. A small number of tickets are available at face value, but many are snapped up brokers - who then resell them once they know who is looking more likely to make it. A lot are also sold as package deals, which include flights, accommodation, transport, and hospitality. These can be a great option for a once in lifetime trip, but they come at a cost - normally well over $6,500.
Can I buy Super Bowl tickets on resale sites?
If you aren't able to grab a ticket from the NFL website or snap up a well-priced package deal, then you'll find yourself on one of the ticket resale sites that are hated by sports fans and concertgoers alike. If you’re a fan who doesn’t have a season ticket or any connections to a team, this could be your only option. But be warned, they come at a cost - especially the closer to gameday you purchase them. In the lead-up to the 2025 final, the average price on resale sites was sitting at a staggering $8,000. And prime views could cost up to $22,000.
How else can I get Super Bowl tickets?

Failing that you could always take the Taylor Swift approach, and simply win the heart of a key player from one of the teams...
