Tino Livramento Newcastle clue provides Scotland fans major hope for Euro 2024 inclusion

Scotland fans have been left praying that Tino Livramento may finally have pledged allegiance ahead of Euro 2024.

The Newcastle United defender has been eligible to sign up for Steve Clarke's squad through his mother, though he has also been able to commit to England and Portugal should he wish to do so. The young full-back, 21, is a promising player and John Carver has already hinted that the Scots have been keeping tabs on his progress.

But now has been the biggest hint yet that he could potentially have chosen the Tartan side with the Euros around the corner amid an injury crisis at right-back.

Neither Nathan Patterson nor Aaron Hickey will travel to Germany for the tournament having officially been ruled out. And that leaves us bare in the position. And hopeful Scotland supporters spotted one element that could confirm Livramento has made his pick.

His club, Newcastle, are set to play against the A-League all-stars in their post-season tour and manager Eddie Howe named a 29-man squad for the trip.

Previous Scotland hopefuls Harvey Barnes and Harrison Ashby have both been named. But Livramento has not, and that has sparked a conversation on social media about his chances of "finally" being called up by Clarke.

The provisional squad is to be named at around 11am this morning.
