Manchester-born Tommy Fury has promised to return to the ring with a "bang" when he faces Darren Till at the Co-op Live Arena in the New Year.

The 25-year-old has not fought since his unanimous victory over YouTuber KSI in October 2023 and has spent most of the year side-lined after undergoing surgery on a hand injury in January this year.

However, he will now return to the ring on Saturday, January 18, 2025 to face Liverpudlian Mixed Martial Artist, Till, in his hometown of Manchester - in a card being screened by DAZN.

Now, though, Fury - the half-brother of former heavyweight world champion, Tyson Fury - has vowed to continue his unbeaten streak and make a statement when he headlines the Co-op Arena in two months' time.

Sharing a post promoting the bout with Till, Fury wrote on his Instagram story: "Bang with a bang..."

Till, 31, has switched his attentions from MMA to boxing after terminating his contract with the UFC in March 2023. The Liverpudlian made his boxing debut in July as he defeated Mohammad Mutie with a second-round knockout in Dubai and a high-profile event awaits next up.

Speaking about the upcoming bout with Till, Fury said: "It feels great to, finally, say that I am back! I have been out of the ring far too long, I've been getting itchy knuckles, and so I'm thrilled to be able to announce my return.

"This is extra special as I am the A-side and headlining a massive event in my hometown and in front of my fans, at Co-op Live. Till had a good UFC career, but he's stepping into the boxing ring now, against a proper pro, and he will quickly realise that he's out of his depth - and this isn't the game for him.

"I plan on dealing with Till in conclusive fashion and then chasing even bigger fights in 2025."

Meanwhile, in reply, Till said: "January 18 is my time, my night."
