Tonight's Cardiff City news as Bluebirds striker in transfer scramble and new Ricky-Jade Jones bid expected
Here are your Cardiff City headlines for Friday, January 10.
Reindorf wanted by two clubs
Cardiff striker Michael Reindorf is reportedly wanted by Bristol Rovers and Newport County.
The forward has been missing in recent weeks after picking up an ankle injury but Bluebirds boss Omer Riza has suggested he is nearing full fitness again and is primed for a loan move away from the club.

Reindorf, who is still only 19, has had a prolific start to life at Cardiff at youth level and now the club want to see him test himself in the EFL ahead of potentially challenging for a spot in the first-team squad next season.
And Football League World claim the Gas, who are in League One, and the Exiles, currently in League Two, have both registered interest in taking the centre-forward this month.
“He damaged his ankle and he’s rehabbing now. Maybe another week or two potentially. There’s potential for him to go out on loan if he’s fit enough," Riza said this week.
“He’s got interest in League Two, potentially League One, League Two probably. Good interest.”
Ledley: I'm sure Cardiff will make improved Jones bid
Former Bluebirds midfielder Joe Ledley believes Cardiff will make a second bid for Peterborough forward Ricky-Jade Jones after being knocked back in their first attempt.
Cardiff tabled a bid last week and Posh said no, but Ledley, who made 257 appearances for his hometown club, believes the League One speedster is exactly what the club needs.
When asked if Cardiff would go back in for Jones, Ledley, speaking on the BBC as a pundit during the Bluebirds' win over Sheffield United last night, said: "I think so. He's got 11 goals already this season at Peterborough. They do need a goalscorer, that's what the fans are crying out for.
"The first bid always gets rejected but I'm sure they will go back and improve it."
One thing is for certain, Cardiff need incomings this month. They find themselves in a relegation scrap and need goals, pace and creativity if they are to shoot up the ladder in the back half of the campaign.
Chairman Mehmet Dalman said investment would be made this month, with both loan and permanent signings set to be be made. Speaking about the chairman's open letter to fans, Ledley said the club needs substantial investment if they are to move the needle towards Championship safety. "It's an interesting statement," Ledley added. "It's OK saying these certain things, the training ground is getting done, we all know that, they are talking about investment in the squad - that's what they need to do.
"Keep investing in the squad. You can see in the league they are not performing, they are down at the bottom, they need to get someone in up front. That final third for Cardiff is where they have struggled this season. They need to bring in a striker."

Colwill officially recalled and likely heading to Exeter
Joel Colwill is likely to spend the second half of the season at Exeter City in League One after his recall from Cheltenham Town was made official.
The Bluebirds midfielder enjoyed a wonderful loan spell in League Two with the Robins, having scored nine goals and provided three assists in 28 appearances for the club following his temporary move in the summer.
Cheltenham boss Michael Flynn had been hopeful that he would be able to keep hold of Colwill until the end of the campaign, however Cardiff manager Riza had expressed his desire to see the 20-year-old tested at a higher level.
And that looks like it will be the case. Cardiff announced this afternoon they had officially recalled the Wales youth international, with an official statement reading: "Cardiff City FC can confirm midfielder Joel Colwill has been recalled from his loan with Cheltenham Town.
"Joel enjoyed a stellar first half of the campaign with the Robins in League Two, scoring nine times in all competitions. We wish Cheltenham Town all the very best with the remainder of their campaign."
Cheltenham said: "A special player that provided special moments in abundance. Good luck, Joel."
It is believed that with Bristol Rovers out of the race following the appointment of new manager Inigo Calderon, the Grecians now lead the race for his signature.
