Tonight's Swansea City news as takeover bar set, legend let go and Paterson released
Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Monday, November 25.
Walsh welcomes takeover
Ian Walsh has welcomed the takeover of his former club Swansea City, a move he says has freed the club from their 'diabolical' former owners.
Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan sold their majority shareholding in the club over the weekend to a new investment group made up of current chairman Andy Coleman, and fellow Americans Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen.

The group now control 77.4 per cent of Swansea's shares, with Brit Nigel Morris holding a 14 per cent stake.
"I think the previous owners have been diabolical for this football club, without a shadow of a doubt," Walsh told the BBC.
"The club has gone backwards since the original Americans took over."
Commenting on the new owners, Walsh added: "Results will be the key things as to whether these people are talking a good game or are providing a good game.
“I said back in the day, you don’t buy a house with the foundations breaking down, that’s what they seem to think has happened, but that’s far from the truth.
“This is a solid football club, it’s got fantastic fans, tremendous emotion, and in my opinion a changeover had to come.
“Let’s just see now in the next six months, because it’s not going to happen overnight, let’s see what they deliver.”
Tate follows Cooper out of Leicester
Former Swansea City defender Alan Tate has left his role as assistant manager of Leicester City, following the sacking of Steve Cooper.
Tate has been a trusted lieutenant to Cooper during his coaching career, having served as his number two at both Swansea and Nottingham Forest.
He followed Cooper to Leicester earlier this year, but is now set to depart following the Welshman's dismissal from the King Power Stadium over the weekend.
A statement issued by Leicester read: “Leicester City Football Club has parted company with Steve Cooper, who leaves his position as first-team manager with immediate effect.
“Assistant manager Alan Tate and first-team coach and analyst Steve Rands have also left the club. Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks for their contribution during their time with the club and with our best wishes for the future.
“Men’s first-team training will be overseen by first-team coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible.”
Wales united behind Welsh League Cup plans - Coleman
Swansea City chairman Andy Coleman says Welsh football is united behind proposals to allow the country's four EFL clubs to play in the Welsh League Cup.
Coleman has been a key figure in what's become known as Prosiect Cymru (Project Wales), which would offer Swansea, Cardiff City, Wrexham and Newport County a potential route into Europe, but would ultimately see them forego the their right to quality for continental competition through the English pyramid.
Swansea, of course, qualified for the Europa League by virtue of winning the League Cup in 2013 but, should these new plans go through, would only be able to qualify for the Europa Conference League.
Nevertheless, Coleman believes the move is an exciting one.
"I think this is a perfect example of what can happen when people come together," said Coleman.
"This is an exciting new potential step for Wales. I can't wait for people to learn more about the specifics around this deal.
"There is still work left to do, but a united Wales is a stronger Wales and I am really excited to see what the next steps are."

Paterson assessing next move
Jamie Paterson is weighing up his next move following his recent release from MLS side Charlotte FC.
The 32-year-old recently signed a deal to take him to the end of the current MLS season, having left Swansea City on a free transfer in the summer.
Paterson made just four appearances for the club, who have decided not to take the option of triggering an extension for another season.
