Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Friday, December 20.

Outgoings likely says Williams

Swansea City boss Luke Williams says it's likely that some players will leave the club when the transfer window re-opens in January.

The Swans boss recently confirmed his side are looking at signing up to three new players in the new year, but admits some players could well be heading the other way, particularly those who are perhaps struggling for game time.

"At this stage, depending on the player, they maybe feel like it's time for them to go and play," he said. "If we feel like we can do that trade then we will.

"Other players might be lured away, we don't know, by other clubs. We'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

"We haven't heard anything yet about any players, and haven't had any clubs contacting us. So there will be movement out as well as in."

Tymon backs Williams on mentality comments

Josh Tymon says the Swansea City dressing room is in full agreement with Luke Williams, following his comments after the defeat to Sunderland.

The Swans threw away a two-goal lead to go down 3-2, and are yet to beat any members of the current top six so far this season, prompting Williams to question whether his side had the mentality to beat the top sides in the division.

It's a comment that may well have ruffled a few feathers, but Tymon, who's in line to start against boyhood club Hull City on Saturday lunch time, says the team can have no complaints at such an assessment.

"Spot on, to be honest," he replied when asked what he made of the head coach's comments. "I don't think any of us in that changing room afterwards would disagree with that.

"If you look at all the games, particularly against the big teams this year, it does look at times that there is some kind of mentality issue there. There's not been one game I think where we've been completely out of it.

"You look at the Leeds game for instance, it's again, such a sucker-punch at the end because of how well we've played. It's the same with Sunderland, okay maybe not the second half, because we weren't at it at all.

"The massive improvement compared to last season is that we're in these games. Last season we took ourselves out the game in the first half at times and were almost blown away.

"Whereas this year we're actually competing with them. Now we've got to start getting over the line somehow."

Former Swan facing late Hull City fitness test

Hull City boss Ruben Selles says he's hoping former Swansea City forward Kasey Palmer will be available for Saturday's clash between the sides on Saturday.

Palmer saw a largely underwhelming season-long loan at SA1 cut short halfway through the 2020-21 campaign, netting one goal in 12 appearances.

He would go on to join Coventry City, before signing for the Tigers last summer, and has since made 17 appearances for his current club.

The 28-year-old was forced off during the second half of the 2-1 defeat to Coventry City last weekend with a suspected ankle injury, and is now facing a race for full fitness ahead of the visit of his former club

"On Monday the pain in the ankle was still there so he's had some tests, a scan and seen a specialist - we are hoping he could be back on the grass," Selles told BBC Radio Humberside.

"There's a suggestion there could be something more serious, that's why we need to be pretty sure what the next step is because sometimes you can carry on and play and sometimes you need time off, so that's why we are seeing a specialist.

"Kasey is a good player for the level but we can't make excuses and if he's not ready somebody will step onto the pitch ready to fight for the team."
