Tottenham confirm pre-season tour schedule as Harry Kane reunion awaits
Tottenham have now finalised plans for their pre-season tour of Asia this summer.
Spurs will face a potential reunion with former favourites Harry Kane and Eric Dier as they take on Bayern Munich, with that high-profile friendly now confirmed to be taking place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea on August 3.
That game forms part of the Coupang Play Series, with Ange Postecoglou’s side first facing a Team K League lineup on July 31 at the same venue.
Tottenham’s Asia tour begins in Japan on July 27, when they meet J1 League champions Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo.
Spurs are due to face Bayern again at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Visit Malta Cup on August 10 in a homecoming for England captain Kane and Dier, a week before the 2024/25 Premier League season officially gets underway.
Postecoglou’s squad were recently in Melbourne, where they drew 1-1 with Newcastle in a somewhat controversial post-season friendly at the Melbourne Cricket Ground after James Maddison’s first-half opener was cancelled out by Alexander Isak before the break.
Tottenham went on to lose a penalty shootout against their Premier League rivals, with Bryan Gil’s effort crucially saved by Mark Gillespie as the Magpies prevailed 5-4 from the spot.
Spurs finished Postecoglou’s first season at the helm in fifth place to qualify for the Europa League, losing out to Aston Villa in a fierce battle for fourth and what proved to be the final Champions League slot after a difficult end to an eventful campaign that began with dreams of title contention after a superb start.
They will discover their first opponents for next term when the new Premier League fixtures are released on Tuesday, June 18.
