Tottenham drop Mikey Moore team news hint for Hoffenheim as Ange Postecoglou decision made
Ange Postecoglou is only facing a handful of Tottenham team selection decisions for the Europa League clash against Hoffenheim with injury issues meaning at least five players are almost guaranteed to start. The Lilywhites have been plagued by absences this season with Dominic Solanke and another key player the latest to suffer issues.
The Spurs striker has picked up a knee injury that is expected to keep him out for a number of weeks while Pape Matar Sarr appeared to be in discomfort during Tottenham's open training session on Wednesday. When asked for the latest on team news, Postecoglou revealed Sarr had indeed picked up a knock.
"From the last game, obviously there’s a couple of players ineligible, Djed and Reguilon," he said in a press conference. "I think the only other one is Pape who got a slight knock from the weekend so he's out. he tried to train but he was still a bit sore from the weekend.

"We're hoping it won't be anything that keeps him out for too long. A chance for him at the weekend but the turnaround was too quick. We get Bentancur back. I think he's the only one." With one returning midfielder set to replace another, Bentancur being in the starting XI in Germany is likely especially as Yves Bissouma is also injured.
A big boost at Hotspur Way did arrive earlier this week however, with Cristian Romero joining his teammates on the grass after missing the last six week with injury. Though he has taken a step closer towards returning, Postecoglou confirmed it is unlikely he returns to action in January.
"He's training but he's not travelled," he said on the central defender. "He's not playing. Probably another week to 10 days for him." Further up the pitch, Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner recently joined Wilson Odobert on the injury list which means Son Heung-min starting seemingly has to happen.
There is a chance, albeit slim, that Moore and Richarlison are named from the off given their impact from the bench against Everton last weekend but it is unlikely the latter is quite ready to be in the starting XI.
Moore on the other hand, appears destined to start given the lack of options in his position with Son required as the striker and Tottenham have hinted exactly that will happen. The 17-year-old has been included on Spurs' pre-match graphic promoting the fixture on social media alongside Lucas Bergvall, Pedro Porro and James Maddison.
Such an action often means, those selected players are set for a prominent role in the game and because of the injury issues Postecoglou is having to contend with, it is very likely Moore is included in his starting XI to face the Bundesliga side.
