Tottenham handed major Hoffenheim Europa League boost as Cristian Romero spotted in training
Tottenham have been through the mill when it comes to injuries this season. Head coach Ange Postecoglou has had to do without much of his first choice backline for long periods of the campaign and Spurs have suffered as a result.
Spurs sit 15th in the Premier League after 22 games, but do get away from domestic action this midweek with the Europa League returning.
Tottenham are sitting just outside the top eight in the league phase table with two games to go. Two wins against Hoffenheim this week and Elfsborg next week will be enough to see them qualify for the last 16 without the need for a play-off clash.

And Postecoglou has been handed a major boost ahead of the trip to Germany for Thursday night. The Spurs players have been put through their paces at Hotspur Way on Wednesday before flying out to Germany for the clash and as per UEFA rules, media are allowed to take video and photos of the training session.
Centre-back Cristian Romero was spotted with his teammates on the training pitches, going through the usual warm-up drills. Bar the game with Chelsea, when he lasted just 15 minutes, perhaps rushed back from a toe injury too soon, the Argentinian has been out of action since gameweek 12.
Romero, alongside Micky van de Ven, has been a huge miss in the back line and his return to training will come as a massive boost to Postecoglou and the rest of his Spurs teammates.
Romero's return is about on schedule, with Portecoglou having said at the beginning of the month: "Ben [Davies], Micky van de Ven, Romero all around the same time, the back end of January they're slated to return."
Davies returned to action in the defeat to Everton on Sunday but Romero could not be in contention to playa against Hoffenheim in the Europa League clash. Postecoglou got another boost with Rodrigo Bentancur - out for the last two weeks with concussion - also joining in training at Hotspur Way.
