Tottenham vs Brentford: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results - match preview

Tottenham will hope the benefits of more work on the training pitch will reap the necessary rewards tonight as they face Brentford after a weekend clash with Burnley was postponed.

While Antonio Conte would have wanted to use the Turf Moor trip to inject some confidence into his charges, following the nightmare defeat to NS Mura, the extra rest ahead of a hugely busy Christmas period may prove vital.

Brentford beat an out-of-sorts Everton team on Sunday to end a run of five games without a win, and now hope to extend Spurs’ streak of five London derby defeats in a row.

The clubs have not played each other in the league since 1949 with each of their last seven meetings taking place in the Carabao Cup, six of which ended in Tottenham victories.

A win for Conte’s men could put them back within touching distance of a top-four berth while the Bees can go into the top half.
