We are now at the halfway stage of the January transfer window and it remains a quiet month for Tottenham Hotspur in terms of new signings. In desperate need of new additions for quite some time to help give Ange Postecoglou's squad a much-needed boost, Antonin Kinsky remains Spurs' only incoming of the winter market so far.

Things really do need to change on the transfer front over the next couple of weeks before the window closes for business on Monday, February 3. Although Spurs do have players such as Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies who are due to return from injury later this month, the north London club still do require additions at the back as there's every chance injuries could hit them hard in the position once again at some point between now and May.

An incoming in attack also needs to be a priority in what remains of the transfer window as Spurs look to battle on four fronts. Linked with PSG ace Randal Kolo Muani this month, the Frenchman now appears to be on the verge of joining Juventus on loan, meaning Spurs are going to have to search elsewhere as they look for an attacking boost.

Speaking ahead of the Arsenal game, Postecoglou was asked about the possibility of new signings and if Spurs are any further down the line in terms of bringing new faces to N17.

"It’s hard to say. Like most other clubs, January is a difficult one to really have any certainty about anything. There are a lot of things which need to come together," he said. "I think I said last week the club is working really hard in that area and if there are any developments we will let everyone know."

When it comes to new signings, it will once again be a balancing act for Tottenham in regards to their 25-man Premier League squad. As ever, clubs will have to submit an updated squad list once the January transfer window has closed for business.

Each squad must contain both homegrown and non-homegrown players, with the latter capped at 17. Clubs also have an additional list for Under-21 players who are eligible over and above the squad limit of 25 players.

So how does Tottenham's 25-man Premier League squad look right now? football.london takes a look below.

Back in September, Tottenham submitted a 23-man squad list to the Premier League which contained 14 non-homegrown players and nine homegrown stars. As things stand, Spurs have two free gaps in their squad but they could open up a further space for another signing by removing Max Robson from their homegrown list.

The academy player is one of nine homegrown players in the 23-man party but he has yet to make an appearance in a matchday squad for the first team this season. What does help Spurs out when it comes to further January signings is that Kinsky can be named on the Under-21 list as he was born after January 1, 2003.

However, the Czech ace can only be on the list for the remainder of this season as next season he will be too old to qualify as an Under-21 player. Radu Dragusin was in a similar boat 12 months ago but now he is part of Tottenham's main list.

Whereas there is space in Tottenham's Premier League squad for new signings, things do become slightly trickier when it comes to the club's Europa League squad as the rules do differ (all of which will be explained in its own article soon due to the complex nature of it). However, the crux of it is that Spurs can only name a squad of 23 players rather than 25 as they only have two of the required four club-trained players.

Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilon unfortunately missed out as a result and the club will now have to remove players in order to ensure that Spence, Kinsky and possible new signings are available for selection for the knockout phase should they progress. UEFA rules stipulate that only three changes can be made to a playing squad for the knockout round once the group phase has come to a conclusion.

Here is how Tottenham's Premier League squad looks at present:

Premier League non-homegrown players: Guglielmo Vicario, Pedro Porro, Radu Dragusin, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Sergio Reguilon, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Son Heung-min (14).

Premier League homegrown players: Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin, Alfie Whiteman, Djed Spence, Ben Davies, Max Robson, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke (9).

Notable Under-21s players: Antonin Kinsky, Alfie Dorrington, Ashley Phillips, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Alfie Devine, Jamie Donley, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert, Yang Min-hyeok, Will Lankshear, Dane Scarlett, Alejo Veliz.
