Town recall Edmundson from Middlesbrough loan spell
Ipswich Town have recalled George Edmundson from his loan spell at Middlesbrough.
Boro are understood to have made an offer of £350k + add-ons for the centre-back earlier this month, which the Blues rejected.
Edmundson is due to be out of contract at Portman Road this summer.
Due to the fact he came on for Ipswich at Man City early in the season, the 27-year-old cannot play for anyone other than Ipswich or Boro for the remainder of this season.
Town's recall is likely to be part of a bargaining tactic, as was the case with Tyreece Simpson when he was recalled from Swindon in 2022.
The club put out a two-line statement on his recall this evening.
Middlesbrough, managed by Kieran McKenna's good friend Michael Carrick, host West Brom in a Championship fixture tonight.
