Town sign young left-back from Chelsea - with Under-21's debut lined up
Ipswich Town have completed a deadline day move to sign 18-year-old Somto Boniface from Chelsea.
The left-back will join up with the Blues' Under-21s side and could make his debut against Bristol City at Playford Road next week.
Boniface came through Chelsea's youth academy, having joined at the age of nine. He was named as the club's Academy Scholar of the Year for the 2022/23 season and featured twice for their U21 side in the EFL Trophy earlier this season.
