Transfer decision confirmed on Cumbrian Premier League prospect
Cumbrian Premier League prospect Joe White's immediate future has been confirmed.
The Newcastle United midfielder, from Carlisle, will be staying with League Two club MK Dons until the end of the campaign.
There had been reports that Newcastle may recall White midway through his season-long loan amid interest from clubs in higher divisions.
But the skilful 22-year-old will now be part of Scott Lindsey's squad for the duration of 2024/25.
"While the parent club had an option to recall the 22-year-old, that deadline has now expired, meaning White will stay at Stadium MK for the remainder of the current campaign," MK Dons announced.
White has made 18 appearances and scored five goals for the Stadium MK club so far.

He was signed by previous MK boss and current Carlisle United head coach Mike Williamson on summer transfer deadline day.
He has gone on to impress under Williamson's successor Lindsey in the fourth loan move of his career.
White, the grandson of the former Carlisle United player, coach and physio and Workington Reds manager Peter Hampton, was due to face his home-city club at Brunton Park last weekend.
The game, though, was postponed because of a frozen pitch, with White instead in line to play against Carlisle when the fixture is rearranged. A new date is yet to be confirmed.
White, who has made four Premier League appearances for Newcastle, has previously been on loan at Hartlepool United, Exeter City and Crewe Alexandra.
The Cumbrian was on United's academy books before being snapped up by Newcastle, where he also earned England Under-18 caps.
Magpies boss Eddie Howe recently said he was monitoring White closely. He said: “I'm pleased to see Joe White especially getting a lot of football.
"He's done well and we're keeping a close eye on him, someone we believe has got really good technical skills and ability. It'll be interesting to see what is next for Joe.”
