As for potential signings, Borussia Dortmund's Julian Brandt is reportedly on the radar along with Real Madrid playmaker Isco and Celtic’s Ryan Christie, while AS Roma's £35m defender Roger Ibanez is said to be on the list - but he had also been linked with Liverpool.
Speaking of the champions, it looks as though they beat last night's Brexit deadline to sign 16-year-old defender Stefan Bajcetic from Celta Vigo. Meanwhile, Mo Salah's future looks secure at Anfield... but should he decide to move on, Didi Hamann says Jurgen Klopp could do worse than turn to Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman. And with defensive injuries a problem, Lille’s Sven Botman may be on his way to Merseyside.
Moving on to Manchester United, Norwich full-back Max Aarons is said to be on their radar, while Amad Diallo will join up with the squad after sealing a move from Atalanta in the last window. Jadon Sancho was their top summer target, and while a Janaury move would be a shock, don’t rule out anything just yet. But will they look at Jack Grealish instead - especially if Paul Pogba leaves?
As for Chelsea? Frank Lampard spent big in the summer, but could be tempted back into the market again with Declan Rice's name never far away from the back pages - while AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma could be a targeted on a free transfer in the summer.
