The transfer status of every Aston Villa player in the final week of the winter window
With eight days left of the winter window, Aston Villa have little time left to complete their business for the second half of the campaign.
So far, Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia have been signed for around £26m combined, while Jaden Philogene and Diego Carlos have left for more than what Monchi has spent on the two new arrivals. Villa are in need of a new centre-back before the deadline on February 3 following Carlos' departure, while the club's resolve could also be tested on Jhon Duran, who is said to be of interest to Saudi Pro League side AL-Nassr.
Emi Buendia is free to leave in the final week of the window, while Villa would like to send Kosta Nedeljkovic on loan for the remainder of the season following the arrival of right-back Garcia.

Here is the transfer status of every player in the Villa squad...
Emi Martinez
Martinez signed a new long-term contract with Villa back in September and is determined to win a trophy with the club. He's the best in the world and obviously a key part of Emery's squad for his ability on the pitch and leadership off it.
Robin Olsen
Olsen's contract with Villa will be up shortly and he has interest from Copenhagen in this window. At 34 years of age, Olsen has been a good servant for Villa and his experience has certainly been helpful in the dressing room. His time at Villa is now coming to an end.
Joe Gauci
Gauci has the chance to leave Villa on loan before the end of the winter window, with Belgian side KVC Westerloo known to be interested among other clubs. The Australia international joined in January 2024 and made his debut earlier this season, but is yet to make a league appearance.
Matty Cash
Cash has cemented himself as an important player for Emery being the best right-back in his squad. The Poland international was of interest to AC Milan last summer, but a move never materialised after Villa slapped a £30m price tag on him.
Andres Garcia
Garcia penned a long-term with Villa earlier this week after joining in a deal worth £6m from Levante.
Kosta Nedeljkovic
Nedeljkovic can leave on loan in the final days of the January window following the arrival of right-back Garcia. Emery wanted to give Nedeljkovic a chance to impress in the first half of the campaign, but clearly believes he has some improvement to do.
Ezri Konsa
Konsa is a crucial element in Emery's squad and like many other players, would fetch a big fee. But Villa do not want to sell Konsa, who has been at the club for nearly six years now having joined from Brentford in the summer of 2019 for just £12m.
Lamare Bogarde
Bogarde has plenty of interest from clubs who want to take him on loan, including in the Championship and on the continent. Emery is a huge fan of Bogarde's versatility and sees lots of potential.
Pau Torres
Torres is currently sidelined with a broken metatarsal, but will continue to play an important role following his return. Tyrone Mings is a more aggressive defender than Torres, but the Spaniard's ball-playing ability is exceptional. Emery wants to find a way to play both in a back three.
Tyrone Mings
Mings returned from a devastating ACL injury earlier this season and has impressed on his return. The club's medical staff didn't expect him to play the amount of games he has in a short space of time. The 31-year-old's contract is due to expire next year.
Lucas Digne
Digne's contract is also up in 2026, but has proven to be one of the most consistent performers in the Villa squad since the start of last season. The left-back is a big earner and his value will decrease after the winter window, so Villa will have an interesting decision to make on his future. Will they offer fresh terms or look to sell?
Ian Maatsen
Maatsen joined Villa for £37.5m from Chelsea back in June. He has shown glimpses of quality this season, but has been kept out of the first XI by Digne for the most part. Borussia Dortmund asked to take the Dutchman back on loan earlier this month, but Villa refused and Maatsen himself is happy to fight for his place in the team.
Boubacar Kamara
It's a priority for Villa to pin Kamara down to a new contract given the level of his performances since returning from an ACL injury this season. There are few players in Europe who can perform Kamara's role better than him.
Amadou Onana
Onana joined Villa for £50m last summer. After a strong start to the season - where he scored in three successive away games - injuries have prevented the Belgian from kicking on. Emery wants to mould Onana into a 'modern number six'.
Youri Tielemans
Tielemans has stepped up for Villa after the departure of Douglas Luiz in June. The 28-year-old is now an experienced player in the squad and is showing signs of being a leader too, dragging Villa through some matches with his classy displays. He halved Villa's deficit at Arsenal last weekend to spark an unlikely comeback against Arsenal.
Ross Barkley
Barkley was targeted by Emery after the end of the season to add more depth in midfield. His arrival for a minimal fee has proven to be shrewd business after his goals against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and the winner at RB Leipzig.
John McGinn
Emery has long spoken about McGinn's importance on and off the pitch. The club captain, McGinn has played a key role in Villa's ascent under Emery. He signed a new deal in June 2023 which lasts until 2027.
Emi Buendia
Buendia can leave Villa in the next days, but the offer presented to him must suit. Bayer Leverkusen are one of a few clubs interested. The 28-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his deal in the summer and is yet to start a league match this term.
Jacob Ramsey
Ramsey was of interest to Tottenham last summer and a sale would have sorted the club's PSR issues, but Emery wanted to keep him in his squad. Like McGinn, Ramsey will also enter the final two years of his deal in the summer.
Leon Bailey
Bailey penned fresh terms last year after a terrific first half of the campaign. He then continued his fine form to help Villa qualify for Champions League football. He scored 10 league goals and produced nine assists too, but has struggled for form this term, bagging only one goal in all competitions.
Donyell Malen
Malen joined Villa for £20m from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the window and could make his debut against West Ham this afternoon.
Louie Barry
Barry is expected to leave on loan before the end of the winter window, but Villa want to tie him down on a new contract first. Celtic are among a number of Championship clubs who are keen to sign the 21-year-old, whose future will be resolved shortly.
Morgan Rogers
Rogers' value might have increased tenfold since joining Villa for just an initial fee of £8m in January 2024. Middlesbrough are also taking add-ons as part of the deal, but this was an astonishing purchase. A key player for Emery, who pursued Rogers' signature after studying his game in pre-match preparations for their FA Cup third round tie at the Riverside last year.
Ollie Watkins
Watkins committed his future to Villa 15 months ago and is rapidly closing in on the club's Premier League top scorer record, currently held by Gabby Agbonlahor. He'll likely end up as Villa's top scorer at the end of the season even if Jhon Duran stays.
Jhon Duran
Villa do not want to sell Duran in the final week of the winter window, but a huge offer could tempt them into assessing their options. Reports claim that Villa hold an interest in Matheus Cunha, but a move would only be viable if a big sale was made. Al-Nassr and PSG could both act on their genuine interest in Duran soon.
