Sunderland could complete a number of deals before the transfer deadline at 11pm this evening, even with Regis Le Bris' side set to take on Middlesbrough in Championship action.

The Black Cats made a statement signing in playmaker Enzo Le Fee earlier this month but are yet to add any new faces to their ranks. The club did however, make Wilson Isidor's loan move from Zenit into a permanent one, bringing some much needed clarity to the table regarding his long-term future.

Sunderland have also sanctioned departures for Adil Aouchiche, Nazariy Rusyn and Nathan Bishop this month, with all eyes on what business they might conclude before the deadline. The big story this evening is that Brighton's move for Tommy Watson appears to be dead in the water, with the Black Cats rejecting a reported £13m bid from the Premier League club.

Chronicle Live reported last week that a deal for Watson would be difficult to do for interested parties, given the Black Cats were reluctant to sell the young winger without bringing in a replacement. The Wearsiders had been linked with a number of targets, including Brighton's Simon Adingra and Leicester City's Kasey McAteer, with the latter of those approaches rebuffed.

With that in mind, Chronicle Live has taken a look at the deals that the Black Cats could complete before the window closes this evening...

Jayden Danns - Incoming

The Liverpool youngster has been at the Academy of Light this afternoon for a medical ahead of a proposed loan move to the Championship club. The young striker would tick a big box for the Black Cats when it comes to bolstering their front line this month.

Pending any issues with a medical, Danns should be a Sunderland player with Kristjaan Speakman and co seeing off interest from Blackburn Rovers for his services this month.

Abdoullah Ba - Outgoing

Sunderland winger Abdoullah Ba has attracted plenty of interest this month according to the Black Cats head coach, but the club had not yet agreed a move heading into deadline day.

Speaking at his press conference last week, Le Bris said: "There has been a lot of interest in Abdoullah, but nothing is done yet. It could be a loan to get him some game time but it depends on the proposition, he could leave on a permanent transfer. We'll see."

The Wearsiders have been known to wait until deadline day to sanction departures and Ba could be another one to watch. Reports in France claim Ligue 2 side Dunkerque are in talks regarding a move.

Joe Anderson - Outgoing

Defender Joe Anderson is another who faces an uncertain future at the Stadium of Light. The former Everton trainee has had very little game time since joining the club in 2023.

The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with League One side Shrewsbury Town and did have offers to leave Wearside in the summer, but rejected those propositions. Anderson has been linked with the likes of Bristol Rovers and Exeter City this month, with the ball in the defender's court regarding a move away from the Stadium of Light.
