Trent Alexander-Arnold furious reaction to Darwin Nunez miss speaks volumes
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez eventually linked up for Liverpool's decisive goal against Brentford — but the right-back could not hide his frustration with his teammate after one questionable decision during the second half of the match.
Nunez started the match on the bench but was brought on in the second half as the Reds' chased a winner, but he prompted a furious reaction from Alexander-Arnold when he tried his luck from an unlikely distance.
Nunez collected the ball just outside the Brentford area before being pushed away from goal due to pressure from several opposition players. The Uruguayan managed to keep possession of the ball, but instead of laying it off to a teammate, Nunez decided to try his luck from around 25 yards out, blasting the ball well over the crossbar.

Alexander-Arnold, who was making a run to support the attack down the right flank, instantly stopped in his tracks and threw his hands in the air in an exasperated fashion, clearly livid with his teammate's decision.
It is common for players to vent their frustration with teammates' decisions on the pitch, but the aggression in Alexander-Arnold's reaction suggested was absolutely livid with Nunez's decision.
Ironically, the pair went on to combine for the crucial opening goal of the game in the 91st minute as Alexander-Arnold's cross was turned home from close range by the striker.
That first goal clearly provided Nunez with a healthy dose of confidence as he secured Liverpool's win with a second goal in the 93rd minute, taking the ball off the toes of Mohamed Salah and lashing a powerful strike into the back of the net.
