Trent Alexander-Arnold makes feelings clear on Arne Slot amid Liverpool contract standoff
Trent Alexander-Arnold has made it clear he is a big fan of manager Arne Slot in his latest interview despite the ongoing standoff over his Liverpool future.
Alexander-Arnold is facing an uncertain future as his Reds contract ticks down without new terms being agreed to stay with his boyhood club. He has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
But his latest comments on new manager Slot certainly indicate he sees things moving in the right direction under the new manager, who has had a spectacular start after replacing Jurgen Klopp.
"I think we've developed really well as a team, as a squad, individually and collectively between the start of the season and now," Alexander-Arnold told Liverpoolfc.com. "You can see we play with a clear identity that the manager's brought in and we've bought into it."

The Reds right-back also agreed with Arne Slot's assertion that successful teams must strike a balance between taking risks and trying not to lose games.
Slot was asked about the possibility that his players will need to bide their time against Ipswich on Saturday, as the Tractor Boys scramble for every point in their fight against Premier League survival.
"There's a difficult balance between taking the risk and conceding a lot, or having control [and] maybe not creating as much," Slot said in his pre-match press conference. "But against this team, going 1-0 down – as we've seen against Forest – is an even bigger problem, especially against a low block.
"So, it's a balance we have to find and I can understand that it's sometimes difficult for fans as well that come to the stadium to see us winning but us hopefully scoring a lot of goals and an exciting match. But you need two teams for that and the better we do, the less likely it is that teams come to Anfield and say, 'Let's go to a high press and let's press them all over the pitch."
In an interview with club media shared by Liverpool on Friday night, Alexander-Arnold was asked about Slot's view on balancing risk, and responded: "That's football, you need to go out there and win the game but at the same time try not to lose it. There's always that balance within a football game.
"The weight of risk and reward, you've got to weigh it up and we can't go all out and expect not to be caught out on the break.
"For us, it's about making sure we're playing the way we want to – dominating the game with the ball and limiting what they can do without the ball. It's about causing as many problems as we can for them.
"Obviously the focus for us is trying to keep the ball out of our third as much as possible. As I said, dominate with the ball, keep it in their half, just be a constant threat throughout the whole game, start the game well and see it through to the end and come away with the result. That's the main thing for us."
Liverpool visited Ipswich in its opening game of the season, emerging as a 2-0 victor after a slow start to the match, and the Reds have since proved themselves to be the current best team on the planet.
Alexander-Arnold said that Liverpool's progress this season is proof that Slot and Liverpool's players are all on the same page: "I think we've developed really well as a team, as a squad, individually and collectively between the start of the season and now. You can see we play with a clear identity that the manager's brought in and we've bought into it."
