Troy Deeney proven wrong as new Mohamed Salah video emerges after Liverpool criticism
Mohamed Salah has already proved former Watford striker Troy Deeney wrong following the 2-0 victory at Brentford that extended Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table. The Reds had Darwin Nunez to thank for all three points with his late brace sending the away end into rapture.
The scenes that ensued were full of delight by players and fans alike. However, Deeney questioned Salah's actions at full-time.
Reviewing the game for talkSPORT, he said: "Something's up with that fella today. Whether it's something with Saudi, whether there's a move, but he's not been at the races today.

"Him going down the tunnel first, even though 95 per cent of the team is over there celebrating, says a lot to me. He doesn’t look interested.”
Salah failed to register a goal or assist for the third game running. However, the 32-year-old has already registered 38-goal contributions so far in a stellar campaign and leads both the scoring and assists charts in the Premier League.
Rumours about Salah’s future continue to grow. He has just six months left on his contract at Anfield and been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Given that, his actions are likely to be scrutinised now more than ever.
However, footage from the Liverpool away end, seen on X (formerly Twitter), showcases Salah clapping the travelling supporters with his team-mates, and in fact, not going straight down the tunnel, as Deeney suggested.
Salah was also captured by photographers, and seen in a video by former posted Liverpool ECHO reporter James Pearce, now of The Athletic, clearly thanking the fans.
Salah also didn't look too unhappy when he posted a social media message of himself, along with Nunez, after the win at Brentford - and just six minutes after Arsenal dropped points in the title race by drawing 2-2 at home to Aston Villa.
Deeney has been vocal about Salah already this season, stating he wouldn’t want his children to play like the Reds superstar and that he doesn't consider him world class.
The Egyptian signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Roma and has netted 232 goals in 379 appearances - which has him fourth in the club's all-time top-scorers list - and won every major trophy in domestic, European and world club football.
