Carlisle United’s Supporters Trust say they are set to discuss fans’ concerns over various aspects of the Blues’ struggles with the Piataks.

The trust asked members for feedback recently and say they had a “superb response”.

They will now report back to the club’s owners on a number of areas raised by supporters.

Among these is a concern that United’s current position at the bottom of League Two is being “accepted” in the name of promoting a certain style of play.

Some members also told the trust they were concerned about an “apparent lack of a Plan B”.

There were, the trust said, positive and negative feedback on head coach Mike Williamson, while some also questioned the “advice” being given to the club’s American owners on football matters.

The recent lack of updates from the Piataks, who have not given interviews since the early autumn, was also raised by some fans, though others wanted to put on record their appreciation for the off-field investment at Brunton Park.

The supporters’ trust board say they will deliver all the feedback to the club ahead of Tuesday night’s fans’ forum at Brunton Park, which will see Tom and Patty Piatak on the panel along with Williamson, sporting director Rob Clarkson, chief executive Nigel Clibbens and trust director Matt Spooner.

This, they say, will be followed by a meeting with the owners to discuss everything raised both by trust members and at the forum itself.

The summary of areas raised by trust members is:

- Fan opinions, both positive and negative, on the position of the Head Coach, playing style, and recruitment.

- The worry over an apparent lack of a “Plan B”.

- Our league position and some members worry that this is not being addressed. Fear amongst some members that this is being accepted to implement a style.

- The concerns over who is providing advice to the owners on football decisions and a lack of experience.

- The investment off the pitch and the gratitude from the fan base for this.

- There was also concern from members over a lack of updates from the owners.

The trust board, reporting the above in an email to members, said they would provide an update on the outcome of the meeting as soon as possible.
