Turkey vs Wales: Euros prediction, kick off time today, team news, lineups, venue, h2h results, latest odds - preview
Wales today face a key Euro 2020 Group A clash against Turkey in Baku.
Kiefer Moore’s late header rescued a point for the shock 2016 semi-finalists in the Azerbaijani capital at the weekend after Switzerland had initially gone ahead through Breel Embolo.
And with a difficult task against resurgent Italy to come in their final group contest in Rome at the weekend, Wales will know that a good result here is likely to prove absolutely pivotal to their hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the European Championship once more.
Picked as many people’s outsiders to make an impact this summer, a youthful Turkey squad will be low on confidence but eager to bounce back swiftly after their chastening 3-0 defeat by the Azzurri on opening night.
Senol Gunes’ side were overwhelmed at the Stadio Olimpico, with efforts from Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne following an unfortunate own goal from Juventus defender Merih Demiral.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Turkey vs Wales is scheduled for a 5pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
The match will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan.

Turkey vs Wales team news
Neither nation picked up any obvious new injury concerns in their respective opening matches.
However, while his attack rather picks itself with a fully-fit Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale joined by Dan James and target man Moore, stand-in Wales boss Robert Page could consider changes in defence and midfield - and maybe even a switch of formation - in a game that some will see as must-win.
The likes of Neco Williams, Ethan Ampadu and David Brooks will all be vying to come in.
For Turkey, top scorer in qualifying Cenk Tosun is missing with a serious knee injury, so the experienced Burak Yilmaz will expect to lead the line once more.
But it would not be a surprise to see Gunes make alterations after Friday night’s poor showing, with the likes of Leicester loanee Cengiz Under pushing to start.

Turkey vs Wales prediction
Turkey were dismal against Italy and looked rather overawed by the whole occasion, struggling badly to keep any sort of possession in the face of the Azzurri’s relentless pressing.
However, providing they can shake off the disappointment of those opening night jitters, they still have the quality to make things very difficult indeed for Wales.
Page’s men also looked a bit nervy against the Swiss and are capable of much better performances.
Another low-scoring draw looks likely here, leaving Wales with the unenviable task of trying to get a positive result against the Italians in Rome.
1-1 draw.
