Tyrell Malacia 'offered' Man United transfer escape route - but there's a catch
Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia has reportedly emerged as an option for Juventus in the January transfer window.
United aren't expected to have a busy transfer window this month, with the word from the club being that there is "no money" to be spent on new recruits. Ruben Amorim might have to wait until the summer to bring in reinforcements.
However, selling one or two players might help facilitate that. According to a report by TuttoJuve, Juventus have identified Malacia as a 'last-minute opportunity' after placing Danilo for sale.

The Brazilian, who joined the Italian side in 2019, is understood to no longer be part of Thiago Motta's plans. At 33, he has been given the green light to negotiate with other teams in this window and has reportedly had an offer from Napoli.
The report adds that Malacia's characteristics are thought to fit the profile that Juve are looking for - on a loan term basis. Since returning from a long-term injury lay-off in November, the Dutch star has only made five appearances.
A loan move could see Juve pay the majority of Malacia's wages, meaning that United would be able to reinvest in a more suitable replacement to fit Amorim's style of play.
Besides Malacia, Juventus are also said to be admirers of Joshua Zirkzee. Motta, who has previously worked with the Dutch striker at Bologna, would be keen to reunite with him in Turin.
Juve management director Cristiano Giuntoli offered a relatively coy answer when asked about the ongoing speculation.. "Zirkzee? It's not appropriate to mention names, but we are keeping an eye on any interesting opportunities, and we will move to strengthen the defence," he said.
The Reds have also been linked with a move for Sporting Clube de Portugal's Viktor Gyokeres. However, a move this month appears unlikely given his £83million release clause.
