Tyson Fury has already acknowledged the high level of talent Daniel Dubois possesses despite storming out of the ring when the IBF champion confronted Oleksandr Uysk.

The 'Gypsy King' is fresh off a second defeat in a row to the Ukrainian boxer as he failed to capture the undisputed heavyweight titles in their rematch on Saturday night (December 21).

Moments after his loss, he was surprisingly joined in the ring by Dubois who made a beeline for Usyk and demanded a rematch after their own first fight had ended in a knockout defeat in round nine for the Brit last year.

The 27-year-old's presence saw a frustrated Fury make a quick exit, which led to theories being made as to why he opted to leave the ring before conducting a post-fight interview.

Former world champion Carl Frampton called Dubois' antics "disrespectful" to Fury as he said after the fight to TNT Sports Boxing: "Dubois was in the ring obviously trying to make a fight, but it was a little disrespectful. First of all, to Tyson Fury. Secondly, to Oleksandr Usyk, and thirdly to Joseph Parker, who he’s going to fight in February."

Despite the shenanigans that occurred, Fury has only spoken highly of the London native, who he publicly praised after his stunning victory over Anthony Joshua earlier this year.

"Fantastic job," the 36-year-old said after Dubois' knockout of Joshua. "He did a very good job and fair play to young Dan. Everybody wrote him off you know. Coming here he was the world champion and everyone chatted like he was a bum. And he showed what he's made of and it's very good for him. Fantastic. Fair play."

Fury and Dubois have a history dating back to 2017, as the latter – who had not yet fought professional yet – sparred with the former heavyweight champion during his hiatus from boxing.

Fury admitted that he instantly was aware of the talent Dubois possessed as he stated: "I was fat, 27 stone. We had a move around and it was a pleasure. He'd never even had a pro fight, but I found out he was a very good fighter straight away."

While the future for Fury looks unclear following a second consecutive defeat, Dubois is preparing to defend his IBF belt against Joseph Parker – who Fury is good pals with – in February next year. He'll certainly hope to set up a second fight with Usyk should he emerge victorious over the New Zealander.
