Tyson Fury to be stripped of £28m immediately after Oleksandr Usyk fight
Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is set to be stripped of £28m almost immediately after his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.
The Wythenshawe-born boxer, who now resides in Morecambe, lost the first bout with the Ukrainian fighter back in May. The defeat saw Fury miss out on becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.
Usyk has since had to vacate the IBF belt after refusing to face challenger Daniel Dubois, instead focusing on a second bout with Fury. Both men are set to earn substantial paydays from the rematch which Fury hopes is the second of a trilogy.

It is reported that Fury is set to receive a whopping £60m for the fight however, nearly half of that will be stripped from him almost immediately. According to JeffBet, who have crunched the numbers, £26,986,203 will be taken as part of Fury's contributions to income tax.
A further £1,202,010.60 shall be paid to national insurance, a tax collected to help fund the NHS and pensions. This leaves Fury with a take home pay of £31,811,786.40.
Discussing these figures, a spokesperson for JeffBet explained: "If you are a resident in the UK you have to pay tax on overseas earnings in the same way, and that remains the same no matter how much someone might earn. Good tax advice is always important and in this case you can be sure the Fury camp will have looked at an agreement that would be the most beneficial."
