The former England, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender died on Friday after suffering a heart attack at Tottenham’s training ground 24 hours earlier.
But his final Tweet, when he revealed he had given a homeless person £10, has sent Twitter into a frenzy as fans and players paid tribute to the 44-year-old by retweeting it.

Ehiogu coached the Spurs Under-23 team and player Shayon Harrison led the tributes.
One of the most genuine, and caring people I’ve ever met.
An honour to have been taught by you, not only as a player, but as a person.
