Unai Emery has responded to questions about Ollie Watkins' future after the striker was the subject of a bid from Arsenal earlier this week.

Villa were understandably furious with the timing of the news being leaked, on the night of their big Champions League clash against Celtic. Watkins scored in the victory as Villa sealed their place in the top eight of the league phase table.

As a result, Villa have secured qualification to the Champions League round of 16, where they will either play Borussia Dortmund, Sporting, Club Brugge or Atalanta. In Emery's post-match press conference, he was asked about Watkins' future after Villa rebuffed Arsenal's approach.

“I don’t want [to sell]," Emery said. "It is good news to have offers from other clubs or interest. We want to keep our sporting objective through the players we have in the squad.

"Every player can be in the market if it is good for the player and the club. To get this deal we are going to be demanding. Watkins is our striker.”

Meanwhile, Jhon Duran is expected to complete his £65m move to Al-Nassr shortly. The striker is due to have a medical in London on Thursday ahead of completing his switch to the Saudi Pro League side.
