Unrivaled's star-studded 6-team rosters, including 3 'wild card' players
Unrivaled basketball is one step closer to being a thing.
Since the formation of the new 3x3 basketball league was announced, rumors have been swirling about who will play in it and who will coach. It was known early on that players like Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers would join. However, there was a perhaps intentional pause in reveals until several names, including Teresa Weatherspoon and the coaching staff, were casually dropped over the last few weeks.
Now, Unrivaled has revealed a complete list of the players and coaches assigned to teams...but with a twist. Two teams have "wild card" spots ― meaning, if you were waiting on Caitlin Clark, you may have to keep waiting. The wildcard spots, named after the initial roster announcement, went to other athletes, including Cameron Brink, who won't play until 2026. It's unclear how these spots will work in future seasons, but their flexibility suggests that things could get a little, well, wild.
