Furious Greg Taylor was spotted unleashing on Celtic teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers - despite the left-back making a costly error to gift Rangers the cup final opener.

The Premiership leaders struggled in the opening half against Philippe Clement's side and capped off a nightmare spell after Taylor's wayward pass gifted the ball to Hamza Igamane in the final third. The Light Blues' attacker drove on goal and despite seeing his effort saved by Kasper Schmeichel, Nedim Bajrami was on hand to tap in the rebound and give the cup holders the lead in the Premier Sports Cup showpiece.

Taylor and centre-back Carter-Vickers were quick to appeal for offside against the Albanian star - but the linesman kept his flag down before VAR backed up the decision. The left-back was then seen hitting the ground in frustration before he took his protests to the American. It appeared that the Scotland international was venting at Carter-Vickers for not offering a pass in the build-up - before Schmeichel intervened in the argument

While Taylor moved to play down his role, Celtic fans were clear with who they were pointing their fingers at. One posted to X: "Greg Taylor, that is enough now. Clear mistake." One chimed in: "Greg Taylor should never play for us again."

Another irked punter added: "Greg Taylor is not good enough for Celtic's first team. Alex Valle is the better option. Pretty much everyone knows this, so why doesn't Brendan Rodgers?"
