Viktor Gyokeres hints at Sporting CP exit as Manchester United put on red alert
Viktor Gyokeres dreams of playing for one of the best teams in Europe in the near future amid links to Manchester United.
With Ruben Amorim looking to rebuild his Manchester United squad, a player who he will certainly have on his list - in an ideal world - would be the Sweden forward. Gyokeres currently has 26 goals in 24 games in all competitions this campaign.
He excelled under Amorim at Sporting Clube de Portugal, netting 43 times in 50 games in his maiden season. Gyokeres would certainly be a welcome addition to the team who have struggled in front of goal previously.

But they will have to fight off interest from some of the top teams in Europe including Barcelona. Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, his ambition is clear. "We will see. There are many rumours circulating, but we are in the middle of the season, there are still many months left," he said.
"We will see when the time comes what will happen. Playing in one of the best teams in Europe. That is the goal."
"I don't play in the Premier League like others do, but I have done the best I can where I am, I also showed it in Europe, in the Champions League, and with the national team. So it is not 'just' in Portugal [he's shown his best]."
Often compared to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Gyokeres admitted he still hasn't gotten used to it. "It's hard to understand that sometimes it's real, but that motivates me and I want to keep playing. You can always do better, score more goals," he concluded.
