Christmas came early for a number of Tottenham's loan players as the goals flowed over the weekend. Ahead of a busy period of festive football, Manor Solomon and Jamie Donley both delivered masterclasses for Leeds United and Leyton Orient respectively.

Luka Vuskovic also had a weekend to remember as he once again played a key role for Belgian side Westerlo. While the games will come thick and fast for the vast majority of Tottenham's loan players between now and New Year, others will have to wait a couple of weeks to play again as some of Europe's top leagues are now on their winter break.

So how exactly did Tottenham's loan stars fare over the weekend? football.london takes a look below.

Manor Solomon (Leeds United)

Saturday proved to be a very good day for Solomon as he played a big role in Leeds United's 4-0 win over Oxford United. The winger registered one goal and two assists in another impressive outing for his loan club.

Solomon's first assist came after nine minutes as he used his pace to get away from his marker before putting the ball on a plate for the incoming Daniel James at the back post. His second assist came midway through the second half as he slipped in Brenden Aaronson to put the game beyond Oxford.

Solomon was to be rewarded for an impressive display with a goal of his own as he took in Joel Piroe's pass to fire in at the front post a minute before making way. It came as no surprise to see the 25-year-old come out on top in Leeds Live's player ratings as he received a score of eight out of ten for his performance.

They wrote: "Goal and two assists on his return to the starting XI means it was a good days work for Solomon. Good work rate for Daniel James assist before picking out the perfect pass for Aaronson to make it 3-0. Took his goal well from a tight angle."

Solomon and Leeds will be on the road over the festive period as they travel to Stoke City on Boxing Day and then Derby County three days later.

Dane Scarlett (Oxford United)

Dane Scarlett could only watch on from the substitutes' bench on Saturday as Leeds United put Oxford United to the sword at Elland Road. Five minutes after Solomon had scored the final goal of the day, Scarlett was introduced from the bench by caretaker boss Craig Short.

The striker will have a new manager to work with going forward after Des Buckingham was replaced at the helm by Gary Rowett. The new boss was watching on from the stands at Leeds but he will be in charge on Boxing Day when Oxford host Cardiff City.

Scarlett will be hoping he returns to the team against the Welsh side as he looks to score the goals to help Oxford move out of the Championship drop zone.

Bryan Gil (Girona)

Girona returned to winning ways on Friday evening with a 3-0 home win over Real Valladolid. Bryan Gil played 83 minutes of the contest as the Spanish side moved to within five points of the European places.

A winter break will now take place in Spain, meaning Gil and his teammates will have to wait until Saturday, January 11 for their next fixture when they travel to Alaves. Amid his Tottenham struggles, the 23-year-old has enjoyed a very good start to the campaign with Girona after contributing three goals and three assists in 22 games and also forcing his way back into the Spain squad.

Alejo Veliz (Espanyol)

Alejo Veliz once again had to settle for minutes from the bench as Espanyol fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Las Palmas. The striker has found himself in and out of the team since moving from Tottenham and he will have his fingers crossed that his situation improves in the second half of the term.

Veliz has four goals from his 16 appearances for Espanyol so far in the 2024/25 campaign.

Alfie Devine and Luka Vuskovic (Westerlo)

Vuskovic was on the scoresheet for Westerlo on Friday evening as his late goal helped the Belgian side register a 1-1 draw with KV Mechelen. The 17-year-old has demonstrated over the past year that he is a potent weapon from set-pieces after scoring a number of headers.

He once again netted with his head as he met an inswinging free-kick from Dogucan Haspolat to find the far corner of goal. Vuskovic has an incredible five goals to his name from 19 games for Westerlo and he is in fact their third highest goalscorer in the league this season, sitting just one goal behind Allahyar Sayyadmanesh and Matija Frigan. Not bad at all for a centre-back!

Alfie Devine did feature in the game but he only played 65 minutes of the contest. Westerlo return to action on Boxing Day with a trip to Club Brugge.

Ashley Phillips (Stoke City)

Ashley Phillips was an unused substitute on Saturday afternoon as Stoke City lost 2-0 away at Sheffield Wednesday. The centre-back has impressed of late for the Potters but illness stopped him from taking his place in the team at Hillsborough.

Stoke face two crunch games over the next week with high-flying Leeds United and Sunderland on the calendar.

Jamie Donley and Josh Keeley (Leyton Orient)

Donley was rewarded for working his way back into the Leyton Orient team as he played a pivotal role in the team's 4-0 win at Barnsley. His fourth successive start for Orient after previously finding himself out of the squad altogether, the attacker scored his first senior goal and also registered two assists.

Left all alone at the back post to nod home the opener after six minutes, Donley's corner was then converted by Omar Beckles on 28 minutes as the visitors doubled their advantage. The Spurs youngster was key to the third goal of the afternoon as he dinked the ball over Mael de Gevigney for Charlie Kelman to expertly lob the onrushing Ben Killip.

Donley has been receiving some stick of late after goalkeeper and fellow Tottenham youngster Josh Keeley went above him in the goalscoring charts following his incredible goal against Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup. "Buzzing to see you in the scoresheet bro, must've taught you a thing or 2," was Keeley's message to Donley on X after the game. Donley replied: "More goals and assists than you. Get innn."

Orient face two games at home over the next week with Crawley Town and Cambridge United making the trip to the capital.

Matthew Craig (Barnsley)

Matthew Craig came up against Tottenham teammates Keeley and Donley in the match as he started for Barnsley. The midfielder had started the previous eight games on the bench but he was brought back into the side by manager Darrell Clarke.

However, he would only be on the field for 36 minutes as the Barnsley boss made a double change with his team 2-0 down at home. Barnsley are away in both of their games this week as they travel to Barnsley and Peterborough United.

George Abbott (Notts County)

Notts County got back on track on Saturday to move into the League Two play-off places following a 3-0 home win over Bradford City. George Abbott, who has enjoyed a very successful loan spell with the club to date, played the full game in the heart of midfield for Stuart Maynard's side.

The Magpies are on the road over the next week as they face MK Dons and Cheltenham Town in their festive fixtures.
