Wakefield Trinity owner Matt Ellis is continuing his commitment to develop the club's Belle Vue ground, with the latest stadium works now confirmed. The West Yorkshire club have recently undergone a full main stand reconstruction and are now finding ways to bolster their capacity ahead of their Super League return.

Trinity gained promotion last October with victory over Toulouse Olympique in the Championship Grand Final. They also won the League Leaders Shield and 1895 Cup in a second-tier treble. And now they will ply their trade in Super League under Daryl Powell, having gained Grade A status from IMG. They have already increased their stadium capacity by 1,600 and are now set for further works between now and February’s new season kick-off.

That includes plans for a TV gantry and a roof over the western terrace, with work now set to take place at the southern end of the ground. Sports Ground Development LTD have confirmed that they will build nine rows of terracing with work done before February’s Super League start.

Sports Ground Development LTD have previously worked at Belle Vue, installing additional press tables and seats at the stadium.
