Unspectacular but productive 4-2 homestand for the Warriors. Stabilized their record at a shaky point. Draymond Green is back (good tonight late vs Paolo). Quinten Post has been elevated into starting lineup. Nice stretch of games for Moses Moody. Trade deadline looms. - 12:31 AM

More on this storyline

Anthony Slater: Steph Curry is cleared to play tonight vs Thunder. Sounds like Quinten Post could enter the starting lineup. Steve Kerr wouldn’t reveal, but joked he’s trying to “set a record” for most starting lineups used in a season. -via Twitter @anthonyVslater / January 29, 2025

Anthony Slater: Quinten Post will be in the rotation vs Lakers tonight. Steve Kerr expects different opponent gameplan against him: “I anticipate teams will start to put wings on Quinten instead of centers.” -via Twitter @anthonyVslater / January 25, 2025

Post, drafted 52nd in June and shoehorned into the roster on a two-way contract, had shown promise in his most recent G League stint, scoring 30, 30 and 27 in three early January games. He’s a true 7-footer who made 40-plus percent of his college 3s at Mississippi State and Boston College and impressed Green, Kevon Looney and the coaching staff in camp enough with his toughness and physicality to warrant an opportunity. There were even people in the organization a little annoyed that the front office didn’t get him to Minnesota in time for that shorthanded game against the Timberwolves to close the previous road trip. The staff has gained increasing belief in recent weeks that Post, an older rookie at 24, might be able to fill an obvious void as a floor-spacing center. -via New York Times / January 24, 2025
